PORT LIBERTE NYWaterways Ferry
 

PORT LIBERTE is readily accessible by:

• Ferry (6 AM to 9:40 PM) - New York Waterways

  • Less than a 20 minute ferry ride from PORT LIBERTE to Pier 11 - Wall Street Ferry Landing in the Lower Eastside of Manhattan. Connecting NY Waterways shuttle bus service is included in Manhattan.  NYWaterways is oriented to week-day rush hours with a break during midday.  No service on week-ends

• Bus

  • NJTransit - Route 981 WHEELS serves Port Liberte to/from the Grove Street PATH station where you can take PATH to 34th Street in Manhattan (PennStation) or to the World Financial Center Station in Lower Manhattan.  This week-day service runs primarily during rush hours.  No service on the week-ends. 

  • About 20 minutes to Grove Street and then 15 minutes on PATH from the Grove Street PATH Station to Midtown Manhattan at 34th Street (7 minutes Grove Street PATH to the WTC in lower Manhattan).

• Shuttle Van

  • PORT LIBERTE sponsors its own Evening and Week-end shuttle van service to/from the Grove Street PATH Station for access to PATH.

• Automobile

  • Less than one mile to the New Jersey Turnpike Entrance 14B. 

  • 3 miles via the New Jersey Turnpike to the Holland Tunnel for access to Manhattan.

  • Less than 7 miles to Newark International Airport (New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14)

  • Driving Directions:

    Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 14B.
    After paying toll bear to the left exiting the Toll Plaza.
    Turn right at the first traffic light onto Caven Point Road.
    Follow Caven Point Road past the Liberty National Golf Course (on the left).

    Proceed past the National Guard Base on your left and make a left turn onto Chapel Avenue.

    Drive under the Port Liberte Golf Course Arches and proceed to either of two gated entrances:

    • First entrance gate (on left) leads to Constellation Place, Independence Way, Constitution Way, Intrepid Place, Intrepid Court, Aurora Way, Freedom Way and Enterprise Court addresses.

    • Second entrance gate (on left) leads to East Shearwater Court, West Shearwater Court and Half Moon Isle addresses.

• Hudson Bergen Light Rail

  • PORT LIBERTE is minutes to light rail access which reaches from Bayonne in the south to Exchange Place and Pavonia/Newport in Jersey City and then on to Hoboken and Weehawken to the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal directly across from 38th Street in Manhattan.
